At Barcinos Pet Store, we always recommend responsible pet ownership. Introducing a new member into the family should be a carefully considered decision, taking into account many aspects of our daily lives to determine if they fit the animal's needs. Unfortunately, not everyone takes this time to plan and consider welcoming their new companion, and this is one of the causes of the major problem we have in Spain with animals: ABANDONMENT.

For anyone considering getting a dog or cat, we always encourage you to adopt rather than buy. There are many dogs and cats waiting for someone to give them a second chance (in some cases, a third or fourth, as many are abandoned several times throughout their lives).

To this end, there are non-profit organizations that take in abandoned animals and dedicate all their efforts to finding them families willing to give them the love they deserve. They also invest a lot of money in veterinary care: deworming, vaccinations, wound care, surgeries, and much more. To cover all these expenses, they need help, and we, in particular, are contributing to the Siempre Fiel shelter.

" Siempre Fiel is a non-profit NGO with one goal: to fight against animal abandonment and abuse and to find responsible families for abandoned dogs.

We fight against abuse and abandonment, advocating for sterilization to prevent unwanted litters, and we defend animal rights.

Always faithful has been saving thousands of lives for 11 years 🐶 ❤️ Currently, we have more than 100 dogs in our care looking for a beautiful and lifelong family.
